This memorial hall was built on November 7, 1931 （ Showa 6, 1931 ） on the site of the birthplace of Minoru Maejima, the father of the postal service.

郵便の父と言われる前島密の生家跡に1931年（昭和6年）11月7日に建てられた記念館です。明治の文化・政治に幅広く力を振るった前島密の姿を、多くの資料と遺品で紹介しています。
